The Link 22 Foundation Course provides a comprehensive introduction to the Link 22 Tactical Data Link (TDL) system, designed for personnel seeking to build a solid understanding before advancing to more complex training.
Delivered face-to-face by Atheniem’s experienced Link 22 subject matter experts, this two-day instructor-led course combines classroom learning with practical examples and real-world scenarios to establish a strong baseline of technical and operational knowledge.
Participants will explore:
NILE programme structure and the development of Link 22
System architecture, components, and functions
Frequency modes, network structures, and waveforms
Message routing, addressing, and data capacity
Network management, initialization, and operational roles
Throughout the course, students take part in guided sessions covering key topics such as message formats, equipment and architecture, parameter setup, integration, and network planning. Students will receive a certificate of completion recognising their training achievement.
By the end of the course, attendees will have a clear understanding of Link 22’s technical characteristics, operational use, and limitations, enabling them to confidently contribute to TDL planning, management, or acquisition within joint and coalition environments.
