Duration: 2 days
The Multi-Link Planning Training course introduces participants to the principles and practice of effective multi-link network planning.
Delivered by Atheniem’s subject matter experts, the course combines theory, discussion, and practical exercises to strengthen understanding of how to plan and manage complex Tactical Data Link (TDL) environments.
Participants will explore:
Core planning principles, including forwarding, gateways, and interface units
Overcoming single-link limitations and managing data filtering challenges
Bridging TDL domains and protocols for seamless interoperability
Lessons learned from major multinational exercises such as CWIX and Timber Express
By the end of the course, attendees will understand how to plan, coordinate, and optimise multi-link networks that deliver effective, interoperable communication across joint and coalition operations.
