Mark brings over three decades of experience in Naval operations, defense industry leadership, and advanced data link systems to the classroom. His career began in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist, where he gained firsthand expertise in tactical data link operations and air control. After completing his military service, he transitioned into industry roles that have spanned systems analysis, engineering, program management, and executive leadership.

He has held key positions at leading defense and communications organizations, including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Viasat, and L3Harris. Over the years, he has managed multi-million-dollar programs, directed cross-functional engineering and product teams, and driven the development, integration, and sustainment of cutting-edge Multi Tactical Data Link (MTDL) platforms and C4 systems.

Today, as President of Atheniem Inc., he leads an independent consultancy and training organization dedicated to advancing operational excellence in tactical data link systems and air battle management command and control. His background uniquely blends deep technical knowledge with practical, real-world applications—from system design and testing to program leadership and business development.
